more likely they want to sell you a new tire or dont want the responsabity of something happening if the tire fails.

The aluminum wheels are causing alot of the sidewall probs. Pump them up 2 or3 pounds over the factory 5 and it will help keep the sidewall from giving so much. The beed protector is sharp and is cutting into the tire. The steel wheels are rounded on the rim of the wheel

i can only see that happening right by the rim, not up in the middle of the side wall. i hit my alum. rim so hard it bent the rim a little and no damage was done to tire. maybe its only on the pxt tire because or it being a 3 ply. my wife hit a rock to cut her tire it wasnt the rim and flex.

I assure you, with the air preasure low, the sidewall will fold over. Not saying it will cut every time, but this has been a recurring problem for alot of people. Almost everyone who has complained about it has the aluminum wheels with the beed protectors. Some guys in testing told me this too. I'd bet they are in an argument with the vender bout the issue. I'm sure they will have to change the design or polaris will dump them for another vender.

I have and still have tires with up to six plugs in the sidewall that still never need air added. Not a big deal if you ride as a team or crew assomeone always has a winch or plug kit handy.
It's half the fun. I got 5 plugs in a brand new Maxxis Bighorn on my Arctic Cat 650 and I will ride it until it is no longer possible.

Not to disagree NC, but I've already tried even as much as 10 psi, ( I kept increasing it on succesive rides after having and repairing flats). After talking with both Carlisle and ITP besides doing some testing and tire comparisons on my own, I have concluded that the PXTs just don't have enough material in the sidewall to do the job in fast, rough, rocky conditions. Thier light weight of 17lbs per tire somewhats proves my point. Carlisle admits that the PXTs are only 3ply. If you take one off and compare it to a true 6 ply rated tire you will quickly feel the difference.
