Default 06 500 EFI STALLING PROBLEM!!!!!

My 06 500 efi is going in for a checkup. It keeps stalling. I bought it in April this year. I started hitting the trails in late May. I noticed each time I went out that it stalled a little more with each ride. Does anyone know what it may be? Or does Polaris have a fix for this?

Thanks, Don

Check your throttle free play. If it is to tight it will stall on you allmost every time you take your thumb of the gas.

Also if the throttle free play is too loose. I found on mine that the throttle cable adjuster jam nut wasn't tight from the factory. The throttle cable was slowly backing off until it got too loose. Mine kept stalling on me everytime I took my thumb of the gas.

Had the exact same thing happen to me on the day after we got it home, i started to freak, but found it was just a jam nut.

there is an update to the computer that the dealer can do. they must reflash the efi computer. we have done several with no more stalling after the reflash.

Mine had a stalling problem for 6 months until polaris finally came out with a computer reflash. I no longer have a stalling problem. But first check the easy stuff first, like the throttle free play. it can't be too tight.
