I am looking at a couple of used machines for my wife. The Trailboss 325 and the 330. What I am interesteed in is what is different between these machines. They look similar. I understand there is 5cc difference in displacement. That is hardly worth worrying about. Are there other issues I should know about. Any help in this matter would be great!

The 330 has a bigger carb and cam.Both are good machines but are real slow and under clutched for power.Both will be dependable and can be modded to run excelant.

 

I had a 325, very dependable, i put a ton of miles on it and only needed to replace the battery. It was not powerful by any means, but dependable and did most anything i asked of it. They do have weak axles, do not jump them unless you want a wobbly rear axle.

 

I have a 03 330 and the thing is a tank!! Not the fastest things out there but for your wife or inexperienced rider they are decent 2wd drive machines.....and actually I had a friend of mine roll it over this past weekend in a 3 foot deep mud hole.....rolled it back over and it started up and ran fine....so.....all and all a nice quad...

 

OK, thanks for the replies. Is the engine counterbalanced? Reliable?

And, where does one look for mods. I looked at Ricks site and saw no parts for the 325 or 330.

Go with the 330, My brother has a 325 and my wife has the 330, and the 330 is quicker.
Not sure about the counter balanced, but the one my wife has is real reliable, its an 04 and not a lick of engine,transmission or cvt problems at all, and she is not a timid rider once she gets going.
I know Ive seen a post by Rick, and he said that he has a pipe, jet kit or carb{cant remember which}, different clutch springs and even a big bore kit for it. You may have to email him or call him to get the info.
