polaris turned bombardier owner

The Bombadier Traxter is SO famous. In the very RARE event I do see one,its allways a 70 yr old man/women or older on one. Why?I got the nerve to ask an ole chap one day.He said that the step through design along with the slower speed of the Taxter, allowed elderly riders easier access to the riding area of the quad. You know, you dont have to pick up your leg and swing it around the tank on the mighty Traxter.Either this gizzidog is 15yrs old and knows nothing at all about real quads,or he is 70+ yrs in age.

Its funny that half the traxter owners on the bomb forum are complaining of a multitude of problems. It reminds me of Polaris 10 years ago, but then again you will probably have to purchase at least 3 bombs over a 10 year period to figure out that you don't like bomb either. By the time your 90 you may have figured out which one is right for you.

Not to get anything started but I think the Gapster....oooopppps I meen Traxter is way over-rated. I never see one where ever I go riding and there is a Bombardier shop no more than 20 miles from my house. The shop is 3 miles from a Polaris shop that I bought my 6x6 from. This Bombardier shop sells Kawasakie too, me and my friend step in time to time for oil to put in his KX250. We kinda noticed that all the Bomb's are still sitting there while the Kawa's and the Polaris's at the other shop are gone in 1-2 weeks.

This is funny. I own two polaris 4-wheelers and only had one problem. oil line blew off my trail boss, that was fixed and had it back in one week. In fact I have only seen one bombardier on the trails and it was broke down. My dad had to pull him back to his truck with our sp500.

gizzidog, I went form a scrambler 400 moded up to a 2000 DS650. I had to replace a some parts on the polaris but not due to anything that I didn't cause. I do like the new power of the DS. It weighs 100 lbs. less and much more power, but the ride is smooth just like the 400's. The polaris's just have a totally different design then any other quad maker out there. And in some peoples eyes, differnet isn't good. But remember this.....the sportsman500 is still top dog in the utility market and will be for a long time. The DS is tops in the sports market and will be for a long time. I'm from Sidney, OH. where's Niles, OH.?
