Reverse Lights and Reverse Over-ride Mod

Of Course! lol
Just before you do anything look for the wires. If you find the wires I have mentioned then go get the stuff you need. I didn't even bother with terminals on the relays, I soldered right to the pins. I wraped the entire relay and wires like 5 times with electrical tape to avoid contact with the elements. I put the two relays that are together on the digram together and mounted them to the rear compartment. Why you ask? If you look what runs along that frame rail right in front of it, you will find a wire harness that just happens to contain the power feed to the work lights. It just saved a little bit of wire. Then I ran the two wires that go to the purple wire on the transmission harness down a fram rail useing cable ties then cable tied it along the transmission vent tube. This kept it well away from the exhaust pipe and actually looks very stock. Then I ran the two wires that go from the pod to the rear relays along the factory harness. The two wires that go front to back include the igntion power feed and the reverse ground feed. I just taped the front relay to the harness I found in the pod. All wires ran were protected with 1/4 plastic wire loom. It is pretty simple, just take your time and follow the instructions. Remember I will help you anywhere you get stuck just send me a message I will repsond some time that day or the next morning.
PS: If for some reason your modle uses different wire colors then mine and you can't find the colors I described let me know and I will help you find the right colors.

That pre made one is the excact same thing I illustrated. So $30 for someone else to make it for you, or mabye $1.50 and make it yourself. You can even see the picture of the relays on his web page it is the indentical thing. I don't want people to pay for something they can do themself.
They even describe the cutting the tranny wire just as I described. So rest assured doing it my way is the same. Save yourself the money. Anyway I don't have to sell my product because I'm doing it non profit, so deside for yourself.

Cormacs, Great info and a big Thanks. I did the mod on my quad this afternoon and everything works fine. I changed mine just a little and put the 2 relays in the headlight pod and only had to run 2 wires down to the trans. switch. I was able to catch power off the 12V power recept, and the light wire off the worklight switch. Great info, thanks again. I did not do the reverse mod, I still have riders that do not need this.

Glad to hear it worked. I put my relays down under the seat because it would have taken up a lot of room to have three relays in the pod. It is feasable for you since you are only useing two. Technically if you put the relays under the seat you would of only needed to run one wire from the front. Since you only did the reverse lights there would be no need to run the reverse trigger to the the pod. But it works either way. Glad to have helped.
