Where did you mount the relays? In the pod?

I mounted my relays useing a standard relay bracket and screwed into the plastic under the seat. Yes you can use the reverse lights without the switch, instead of the relay output going to the switched wire just tap into the wire going to your work lights. If you require more information feel free to ask as many questions as needed.

 

Anyone do this type of a modification on at 2000? or older non-digital speedo?

This kit sold on ebay works on the 800 EFi, It fits all Polaris sportsman's and takes 5 minutes to install, no cutting of factory wires. Item cost $5.99 And worked great on my atv adn has been on for 3 years. reverse bypasses available also.

Could you please send the reverse light mod and instructions. We have two brand new bikes we would love to change over. Appreciate any other mods you have also. (Front light mod if you have it).

I don't think the link to the schematic is active any longer. Best bet for these mods is to get them from quadovator.

If you do a search for reverse override and reverse lights (or worklights if you prefer) you will get all the info you need.
