500efi high altituded reflash?

500efi high altituded reflash?
I was told that I need the high altitude reflash because my 2006 500efi runs bad over 8000ft. Has anyone had the high altitude reflash? If so, how does it run above 8000ft? Did the reflash affect the low altitude riding? Thanks for any help...
