Default scrambler 500 overheating

ok i have a scambler 500 that i just got done doign a bunch of stuff to. not to long ago i busted a timing chain and bent my valves and screwed up my piston. in the process of fixing it i added a pipe, cdi box, and a full roller clutch. in the carb i upped the main jet from a 155 to a 165. now when i take it out it overheats in 10 minutes. even in 55 degree weather. my antifreeze level is good also. the fan does not kick in because the antifreeze doesnt get warm enough just the light comes on and the motor is really warm. now do i have carburation problems or what?? any response woudl be great because im going on a big trip soon, thanks

are you sure you got all the air out of the system? you might have a air bubble in the system.

Are you sure the coolant isn't heating up? It sounds like it could be the fan sensor/thermostat thingmabob.

Sounds like it is air locked
pull the return line off of the engine and see if it is circulating don't forget to put a basin under to cach the fluid
