Found on both MV's that seat was rubbing on plastic fenders and crushing positive battery terminal. The plastic fenders were gouged by the staples that hold the seatcover on. I looked at a Sportsman 800 seat and it has rubber pads attached to bottom of seat base. The dealer tried the 800 seat on my MV and this raised the seat approx 1/4" inch, fixing all problems. The dealer has ordered me two new seats for an 800.

Polaris dealer took pictures, one week later Polaris agreed to replace seats under warranty!
