Default 48' plow blade good enough?

I kept the 50" off my Rancher when I traded it for the Sportsman. With the Sportsman being wider, I might not be able to cut a clean path for the tires when the blade is at full angle. I might have to do the middle notch on the angle adjustment, I hope it plows okay that way. If it doesn't, I'll replace it with a 60".

Don't forget to hardwax the plow blade face. Makes a HUGE difference!

When u lift the plow about half way up. Is it wobbley if you shake it. Mine is but when I raise it up all the way it locks in tighter and doesn't move.

i have a 48" on the 700 sportsman for clearing my driveway at the acreage, it has always worked fine. my neighbour has a 60" for his 500 and he says it is too big, the quad is not heavy enough to push that much heavy snow. so unless you have something heavy enough to justify the 60" you may just sit and spin the tires all day. something to think about

I wonder if the 56" side plow is worth looking into?

My friend plows with a 48" and at an angle it is not wide enough, but he hasn't had any trouble.

I personally went for a 52" which does cover the width when plow blade is at an angle.

If you already have the 48", run it and see how it goes. It wouldn't hurt to try it before buying another plow.

Just an FYI..
In speaking to my local Polaris dealership yesterday,
I was informed that the 48" Blade has been discontinued.

I had a 48" on my scrammy but sold the plow when I got amy new 800....w/ 60" glacier setup. My scrammy worked fine until the heavy wet snow piled up8 inches or so. I cant wait to try my new one!!!
