Anyone using heated grips or hand guards?

Well, I got the handguards, and I already posted a "how do I" on the forum. They seem pretty rigid, but with all plastics, cold weather does make them brittle. According to the maker, if it is Polaris, Polyethylene, seems pretty resilient to the cold. Not like the nylon black plastic fender flares, or floorboards. I'll be looking into a few new parts after the snow melts from last winters bumps and smacks during the chilly rides of winter. I'd love to talk Polaris into making a rubber composite fender, something that will handle the cold.

The handguards are very durable, even in extreme cold. Everything has its breaking point but you won’t break these easily. I’ve rolled my SP in temps just above 0 without damage to the guards (it’s hell on mirrors though!). Several years ago I “kissed” a tree with the end of the composite front bumper riding in about 15 below (F) at night. Snapped the “wing” of the bumper right off. I was pleasantly surprised to find a new one reasonably priced at about $80.

I recently won two pairs of Hot Grips in a Mud Race. I will install one pair on my bike this week. I will let you guys know what I think of them after a good weekend of riding. I have the foam type soft grips right now. I think I will slide the foam over the Hot Grips when the heat is not in use. They do seem to be a little hard. They are the new type for ATVs and the dealer sales price was $49.99 a pair.
