06 scrambler 500 ?????

Default 06 scrambler 500 ?????

my buddy took his spark assestor out of his muffler and said it made it faster. is this true? and would that harm the scrambler in anyway?

It dosn't make it faster, just louder. I believe if you do that it might make it run a little lean. Just get an aftermarket pipe. Then it will be louder and go faster. You might wanna let your buddy know that his quad is now illegal to ride anywhere but on private property. Public trail systems are really starting to crack down on stuff like that too.

thanks for the reply i am new to this so sorry for the dumb question. I live in texas plenty of dessert to ride in and no one seems to care so i guess thats a good thing huh.

Default 06 scrambler 500 ?????

No question is a dumb question. I am still learning myself. I ask questions everyday. I wish I had tons of land to ride on. I have to trailer my quads at least an our away to the nearest trail system. Someone else may chime in and give you a better insight as to what happens when you remove the spark arrester. I do know that if you get any performance gain at all it is so minimal you won't really notice it.
