Can i have any links or infromation about a gear reduction for a scrambler 500 emaybe a tranmission swap. If i can find anything about a gear reduction for my scrambler im going to put aleast a 4in lift and some 29.5 outlaws under it. If you know anything that would help me please reply to this post. Get a '99 polaris explorer 400 trans. It has low and high gear. It is a bolt in except you need to modify the shifter. Do a search. It has been discussed before.

Wow this forum is better then highlifters forum!! I was just about to get the scrambler real clean and put the 22's on it so i could sell it. The high gear just wasn't gonna cut it. I was gonna get a polaris 700 but i think id reather just put a 400 explorer trans in my scrambler. Thanks for the help is there anymore things yall can tell me. I have done a few searches and found nothing. If yall could find something please tell me. Thanks!

 

Also I have been thinking about another idea. I want to know if a any polaris irs transmission's would bolt into the scrambler. It would take alot of work but if one would i could make it a irs scrambler just a thought but if anybody knows anything that would help me PLEASE reply!!

The second line I posted is the title topic that was discussed on this forum in March 2006. Within that topic MrToys contributed that he had done the exact swap you are looking for with the explorer trans and gave part numbers and quite a bit of info. You can put that topic title in the search window after you push the search button and make sure you enable all the categories before you hit the submit button.
