I replied to other thead for the same subject, sorry didn't know you had 2. Anyway, to fix it, it's cheaper if take the engine out yourself & take it to get it fixed instead of them charging you to take out the motor. It's a lot of work to split all the cases to get to the center where the problem is & expensive to fix for labor & the shaft that I think is probably rusted at this point so antifreeze will always leak in to c-balance fluid unless fixed. The impeller for the water pump will stop & overheat. Don't recal exactly but some guys payed between $300 or $400 for repair. I did most of mine myself so cheap. The original cause was the c-balanced sucked in water which rusted the shaft, took out the seals etc. It's ok to suck water occasionally but you have to immediatly check you fluid after each wet ride & replace if waters in there. Re rout you vent hose up high. Mine all go in my sealed off nose piece along w/ the PVT vent, fuel tank vent & all the others.
Good luck

i pulled a plug from around the water inlet it the pump(lost my book to till me where the counter balance oil fill was) and nothing but pure antifreeze came out. i say it been like that for sometime, but the bike had not been run in a year. looks like a pricey dumb mistake not keeping a eye on the counter balance oil.
if the repair is like 300 or 400 i will get it fixed but if its around 1000 range it will be hard to put money like that in a 5 year old bike that needs tires , battery, and there is something wrong with the carb ( wont idle and smokes bad)

Whatever you decide to do, dont let anyone talk you into buying a new counterbalancer. They run 3-400$ new.
Any good machine shop can resurface the shaft for you. Or Ritter cycle can swap u out a re-man.
