Thanks for your thoughts folks! My friend is now home and resting. We are all so very lucky! His wife is pretty pissed off and say's he'll never ride again. Poor girl just doesn't know how quickly he'll saddle up again!!! HAHA.. If you get in a car wreck does this mean you never ride in a car again? You can't stop living... Only learn and move forward!
Gonna get a quote from the dealer today or tomorrow on the repairs. I'll post the quote if any of you are interested. More than likely I will fix the quad myself but since it's new (or was new), I thought I'd get a quote first.
Ride safely!
Thanks again!

Glad to hear your friend's going to be OK. I know what your going through. My son-in-law crashed my Z400 on mother's day 2005, Quad was two months old Broke his Feammier in 4 places. You can see the pictures of my old frame on my photo page. Good new's is he was fixed up with the help of doctor's and A steel rod in his leg. The Z400 was running again before he was. And he is back out hitting it hard and heavy again.

I Wrecked my 05 scrammy about 2 hours after I got it. Your stuff "looks" pretty cosmetic. Rear plastics and a head pipe. You might as well upgrade to a DG front bumper and skid plate, that plastic piece of crap that they put on doesn't do anything anyway. Plus they cost about the same. The dealer will charge you a fortune, bet you can do it yourself.....

According to the dealer it is everything. I have questioned the dealer and will get a written quote of parts & labor to double check what they plan to replace and/or repair.
I would definitely fix it myself but I'm going to be out of town for a week and a half. It would be that long before I could get to even look at it or order any parts. I like the idea that it's fixed (if I let the dealer take care of it) when I return home AND if something else is wrong with it, I have someone else to blame and go to for additional repairs. I'll inspect the bike closely when I return.

I've decided to change all the 2006 (damaged) plastic to 2007 black plastic. Also doing yellow brush guards. Bike should look tough when I get it back.
Does anyone know if I'm going to have any fit issues with a 2007 body on a 2006 model? The 06 & 07 frame is the exact same OEM part number and I'm unaware of any differences between the models.
Thanks folks and ride safely!
