what kind of winch? size?
I had a new warn 2500ci strip out on me the 5th time i used it... it was on the rear of my MV7 so it came with the mac hine.. warn blamed me and charged me $80 to fix it.. warn didn't cover it under their 1 year warranty.
I would think the switch or the sun gear is messed up on yours-- does it still pull in & out with the switch? or does it not "pull" at all?

I had the same problem with a gorilla winch the first day after I installed it. Gorilla is sending me a new unit and a return label.
My winch did disengage before I wired it up. The first time I tried to disengage it after winding it in and out a few times the **** for disengaging just spun very freely with no resistance or engagement. The winch will still power in and out.
What could someone do to cause that to be their fault?
