Good luck to you Instigater. I just snapped my first gorilla axle. 22 miles on it since I put it in and the U-Joint snapped clean in 2. I would be the first to admit if it was my fault, the original that broke was my fault. This snapped for no reason, climbing a small (maybe 12' high) sand hill on my trail that I drive on daily. I wasnt driving stupid, and snap! I have yet to get a response from Gorilla, its been 2 days!
I couldnt wait for them, I picked up another U-Joint and fixed it myself. I am going to send them the broken one and ask for a replacement, some how i think its a waste of time but I shall try!

Went riding yesterday and the left front outboard boot was ripped. I have no idea as to when it happened, apperantly on the last trip. Anyway the CV was inttermittantly locking up which was throwing the handlebars back and forth. I thought it was the AWD acting up. Anyway took out the axle to troubleshoot, and found this to be locked up. It is hard to determine exactly what is locking up until you start removing parts. Anyway, cut the rest of the boot off and soaked the CV with oil. Worked the CV loose and put the axle back in. Rode it back to the truck. The CV's are tough, this had been run with no grease for who knows how long. There was no evidence whatsoever of ANY grease. There was slight rust deposits in the CV. I realize this is not a warranty. I just wanted to share a "tough" experiance with Gorilla axles. I am impressed with the duration of the axle without any grease. I need to find out the cost of an outboard CV replacement.
