inner front hub seal?

real4x4,
Yes I have a 98 Sportsman 500 and have had the same problem on three occasions with both the left and right side. I have replaced mine myself nothing to it other then making sure that when you put the hub back together that all the componets line back up namely the armichure plate that has the three teeth on it or the four wheel drive will not work properly.
Some people I have herd of putting water proof grease around the leaking seal, but it is my opinion that you would be best to just replace it. Other then that it takes about 20 minutes tops to replace it. Need any toher help as far as explaining how to tear it down and put it back together you can email me at jason53144@aol.com.

If the wear sleave is worn, you can run the seal in a bit deeper and this will allow it to ride behind the first groove, giving it a new surface to ride on. Changing the wear sleeve is not hard but you will run the risk of messing up your coil underneath it.
