I Ordered a warn 2500 winch last week. Dealer called and said they send a polaris 2500. I did some checking nad the polaris is $100 cheaper. Is there a big difference between the 2 or is the polaris winch a warn with polaris labels?? Just curious.

As fas as I know, the Polaris winch is a Warn winch with BOTH Polaris and Warn labels.

 

Why the $100 price difference?? if you go to Polaris website you can accessorize your bike, you have the choice between a polaris 2500 winch and a warn 2500 winch...

I got THIS ONE a few weeks back. If you notice, there's both the Polaris and the Warn logos in the box and in the winch itself.
I would think that the "Polaris" winch comes prewired for easy installation, while the regular Warn does not.
As for the price difference, I wouldn't know.

 

im pretty sure p.wacko is correct on what he said in the differnce. its a warn winch, polaris doesnt make winches and its prewired for the newer bikes.

 

all the pre-wireing is, is the solinoid and the 2 wires from the winch. all polaris quads come moderately pre-wired from the factory.

 

Isn't there several different models of the 2500 Warn winch. Maybe the Polaris one is a cheaper one. I have a catalog that shows them with different brakes and cable types (Warn winches) Thinking about getting a winch for my Hawkeye soon and was going to call the dealer to check on his price.
