I'm new to this forum but everyone tells me how great they are for sharing info so here it goes...
I own a 2003 trail Boss 330 and it seems it is running off the battery, once the battery is dead the quad is done running.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so what is the cause? I priced a new stader and its 300 dollars... Is that the problem or did I miss something? The quad has less than 100 hrs on it so any help is greatly appreciated....

 

I would say its a bad stator or a bad connection.

 

I agree, it has to be the charging system or a bad connection. You can download the service manual from my sig. It has trouble shooting sections in it and it will show you how to work on it. I don't think there is much difference from 2003 to 2004.

 

Thanks, I did check all the wires and none of them are broke or bare. Is there a way to check the stator or is it best to just replace it and go from there?
