My buddy just picked up his new 525 yesterday. Does anyone know of a good source for aftermarket stuff??..like slip ons, air filters, oil filters, bumpers, grab bars, etc....?

Will Outlaw 500 parts work for the chassis?

The chassis is the same. Only difference is the engine and some small differences in the air box.

nope... my 'Law 525 will be here "anyday" but i don't have it yet, however anything that fits the EXC 525 as far as engine work from the rod up will fit. (not sure if the crank is the same, but all the rest is) On the topic of bumpers, Polaris has a sweet one for the '07 Outlaw, which i will be getting for mine, The nerfbars are also very nice and are probably the rout i'll be going as well. Rath racing also makes bars for these things, as does AC i think. Good luck. I'll have a lot more information once i actually get mine [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

I see that you own a 2000 DS 650. I just sold a 2000 DS 650 and now i'm tring to decide between a Raptor 700 and Outlaw 525. I loved the DS but was ready for change. I want to start doing some trail riding so I want something narrower and with a reverse gear.

Please let me know how the Outlaw 525 compares to the DS.

 

i'll tell you now, the 525's are the fastest quads built at the moment


as far as aftermarket parts, KTM's big bore kit for the 525 will work as far as i know, and any cans that fit the Outlaw 500. all the other stuff that slips onto the chassis will work aswell.
