ihave a 05 sportsman400-with a ebs-clutch,200 hours on it.i was getting on it,in 4hi at approx.55mph,hit a whoop<almost sent the rearend over the frontend>in that panic<looking down at the ground-ican't remember where the rpm's where?landed-HARD,came to a stop,relaxed and tried to take off in hi,motor reving up2 5 thousand r's and slowly moved forward very slow,4low and 2low?it work's great!so i replaced the ebs with a comet drive clutch,helped about 5%,now i get up to 20mph-it takes off and go's to about 55-58 mph.?i'm now thinking i threw a shoe in the rear Driven clutch.reverse okay.i have a jetted carb<dynojet>a procom ignition box,and kn filter<all brand new>hoping someone know's the answer,a quad shop owner here in vegas,say's he seen this before?approx.$200 to fix?need some insite please.it's been 6 week's of driving me bonkers!!!!!!

 

You broke the slide buttons on the secondary clutch, there are three buttons in it and if you hit the ground with tires spinning it wii break them.

another?i'm now looking in the service manuel,i went to buy the button's,when the <polaris dealership>said?this set-up didn't use them,it used a 3 taper roller set-up.in all this,i relize two different clutch set up in theory!won't work right .a belt nightmare i for see.
