Hey everyone, I just joined and i think this site is great and offers so much,
This is the second problem I am having with my Sportsman 500 every time I start my machine the lights and speedometer
flash and every time I rev. the motor everything is normal and then stops when the machine idles down. Could it be my stator?

i would check the voltage w/ a meter going to the battery to make sure its the right amount to rule out the recifier from over or under charging. just a thought. also make sure you have good grounding on the connections.

Searching for problems like these is almost always a process of elimination. Start by making sure your battery is good. That means putting a good charge on it then checking the specific gravity of each cell. Once you've eliminated the battery as a source for your problem move on to checking grounds, switches etc?..
Polaris machines have always been sensitive to even minor marginal battery voltage. As they're becoming more electronic than electric they're getting even more sensitive.
