Default 07' Hawkeye LE Maiden voyage

Daughter took the Hawkeye out today for her first ride, her and the bike worked well together. With the 4 wheel ind. susp., auto and 4 wheel drive, she caught on pretty quickly. It was only 24 degrees today for the ride, I had her bundled up pretty good. She wants to go riding asap again, gonna wait for warmer weather. So far happy with the pefomrance of the little quad, if you have a chance to ride the Hawkeye go for it, you'll be surprised.

Yeah that's the current crowd in stock, my sister wants the 06 Hawkeye so I got the 07LE to replace it. I like getting new machines every now and then but for some reason I hate to part with any, they're like part of the family lol....

There are some teething problems, but over all they are a good machine. My brother-in-law has a Rubican and I was falling him down a trail and he started playing cat and mouse with me. The 500 honda could never pull on a 300 polaris. They don't seem very quick, but they quicker than they feel. Mine has 25" mudlites and it pulls them very good. I am thinking of removing the rear sway bar to make it a little less stiff in the rear. Do other manufacts put rear sway bars on their machines?

Most IRS setups other than AC have some type of swaybar, they could stand a lighter one on the 06 Hawkeye, the 07 feels like the suspension is better. The swaybar is different, I'll have to measure them to see if the 07 is smaller by chance.

I'm quite pleased with mine. 06 2WD. Pulls my 320lb carcass quite well, I think.

I also have the 07 Hawkeye 4x4 limited edition. I had alot of reservations about getting another Polaris after researching the 06 Hawkeye first year bugs and issues. From what I can tell the 07 has those things resolved. Stronger sub frame and different jetting were the main things. I've put 20 hrs on it and it has been put through the paces. I'm 6'1" and 255lbs and it has taken me up very steep hills, through some serious mud and water aboove the foot rest with no hint of problems. So I sold my Kawasaki and Predator and now ride the Hawkeye exclusively. It's getting oil changed now and then it's off to the mountains for a weekend of camping and riding. Top speed with me was 44 mph but considering my prefernce is trail riding I do not need alot of speed. It fits in the back of my 05 Nissan crew cab Nismo with the tail gate down, so I do not need to always use my trailer which is good depending on where we go to ride. I have the Glacier 52" plow system with a warn winch and am looking forward to clearing the driveway. That is if we ever get any snow. Last night we had an inch and people acted like it was a blizzard raiding our towns grocery store. Your daughter should get alot of enjoyment riding her Hawkeye. Happy Trails.................

Where planning another ride in two weeks, as long as the temperature is somewhat warm. I just put the deluxe bumper, skid plate, a-arm guards, and front grill on it. And thanks to powerslider for the help on the tether switch hook-up. Made it look alot better, plans for rear bumper, rack extender and K&N filter and she will be set.
