Default 2001 polaris scrambler electrical problems

I have a 2001 scrambler and it wont charge my battery. i have bought a new battery and it will work for a couple of days and then it dies. dose anyone know how these batteries get charged? what is the part called?

Default 2001 polaris scrambler electrical problems

The battery is charged by charge coils around the flywheel. They can be tested with an ohm meter. The power from the charge coils go to the voltage regulator, then to the battery.

Default 2001 polaris scrambler electrical problems

Get your battry up to full charge(12.5 volts+)put a volt meter across the battry.Start motor you should go up to 14 volts or better.If not you have either a stator problem or voltage regulator problem.
