2001 Polaris 325 charging system

I have a Polaris Trailboss 325 and the battery won't stayed charged, I replaced the battery and it went dead in no time, What kind of charging system do these have?

I think it's in the stator, try starting it and once it's runing take a volt meter and put the leads on the battery and see if it's charging if it is it will read about 14.00.

more then likely it would be the rectifier either unplugged or dont work. this is what controls the amount of voltage to the charging system. start w/ that first, way cheaper then a stator would be.
