CV boots on my 700 need replacing

Default CV boots on my 700 need replacing

Hey dose anyone know where to buy the band clamp pliers on line?Thanks

I bought them but they didn't help. I used a good pair of needle nose vise grips. They worked perfect.

Thanks ashton.but ive been that route.somewhere out there theres got to be a place to buy the pliers.

Default CV boots on my 700 need replacing

I bought them from autozone for 15.00 but they didnt work like the needle nose vise grips. just grab the tabs and squeeze and it was so easy

its true, just use needle nose pliers and save your money.

I bought a pair of long handled -curved needle nose and man do they work sweet, keeps one hand out of the way of the other.

If you want to save yourself some changes in the future switch to these and get the tool from them to install the clamps. Worth the money.

If you already have OEM boots then use Duckbills to install the clamps.

Thanks everyone.Ive replased the boots on the front already.And used everything in my tool box.And it was a pain in the ***.I just thought it mite go better if I got the right tool.egressman I think im going to order a set of them boots Ive heard nothing but good about them.Again thanks

I see you've got spacers on youre 700, I found out my boots were rubbing on the strut housing and this was eating the boots, I ground the edges off of the housing and havent had any more boot troubles, look at yours while it's apart, you'll be able to see if this is happening.
