Do all polaris dealers suck or what? I went into one of our dealers here in memphis yesterday and asked when he was getting a 525, he said next month , close to march. i asked him why so long , lots of dealers are getting them in now and in the next few days. he told me to come back tommorow and he wont have one. i told him that i would be back tommorow and i would not be there either. i realy wont the 525 , just not sure i can stomack the polaris dealers or some of the polaris people.

My Dealer is really nice.
I sit around and small talk.
I think it's hit and miss with dealers the Yamaha / Polaris dealer in a nearby down I would rather run him over with my truck then buy something from him. I have no idea how they sell anything there,
they're the most rude people ive ever met.
I've found the smaller the dealer the more friendly they are.

2 things:

1) sorry to hear about the negative dealer experience. the parts, service and sales guys at my dealer can totally recognize my voice on the phone and talk to me about what i've been hearing about (since they don't hang on these forums.) They're amazed that i am most often right, way before Polaris tells them about it. They're a great bunch of guys.

2) I think most of the 525 Outlaws in the initial shipment were pre-orders only. Like i had a down payment on mine in september, that's why it's coming this week (today i think) after they get all the pre-sold ones shipped out, they'll work on filling general orders. Basically i'd call 1-800-POLARIS and get them to tell you all the dealers within, say an hour or an hour and a half, and see who can get it to you soonest and who you like the best. In order to get filters and stuff for mine (cause i'll probably need 2 oil changes by sunday night b/c of break in, i called around until i found a KTM dealer who sounded nice on the phone and was willing to do research to see what this Polaris machine was all about (cause they didn't really know) and get me what i needed, then i placed my order. My way of rewarding them for good service. hope that helps, and hope you can get one sooner, the more i hear about it the more i can't WAIT for mine!

Here is my view on the Dealer topic.........Lets see now if someone was shopping for ....lets say a car.............These sales-people will talk the ear off you and are your best friend right away.....WHY...............Because you can go across the street and buy from another dealer...Or any of the Many in TOWN OR CITY you live in....

Now back to the Polaris dealers......Do they really need to be nice like that car sales-person!!!!!
NO,NO,NO,......Some people don't have a choice when it comes to the quad, sled of trail bike they want POLARIS.......Or in this case any dealer they decide to buy the RIDE they WANT......

I drove over 2 1/2 hours for the dealer that gave me the best price, great service,And like the other post said small talk.

I think when it really comes down to it some dealers are in the thought of......it you what it fine...if not someone else will.........If he REALLY wants Polaris ....HE WILL BE BACK

One dealer here I think had that view when I was ready to sign the papers.......and lost out of the sale on two 2006 sportsman 450's because the other one included two warn 2500 lbs winches and STILL had a lower price EACH............Thanks for your time.........Caper...............

I hate to defend dealers.......but....... well......... maybe..........I give up! They suck!....not really!!!

Most dealers are people too and sometimes its hard to find a person you click with. When you do, He's the greatest guy in the world. Most of us on the forum already know more than the salesman and get frustrated when they seem stupid.

I've found a local Kaw shop that gets my parts for whatever machine I happen to be working on. They're friendly and eager to learn new tricks (most of which I've learned on this forum). I enjoy chit-chatting with them. The other dealer told me flat out. "thats the price, if you dont take it, someone else will." They didnt even have time to answer questions.

Why do you own a Suzuki and Honda!!!!.....I guess you see your Suzuki dealer more than your Honda dealer than ..Right.......Honda is really dependable if you want to dish out the EXTRA money for less features than Polaris...........................They need to do a lot more R+D to get there quads up with the current models others are now offering....That's my view.........Caper........

I really liked there BIG REDS three wheelers back in the 80's....They really had the market back then!!!!

Actually I get my Suzuki parts from a Kaw dealer. He's a good friend of the QuadAbusers Club. The Zuki dealer sx!

I agree Honda doesnt have some of the performance of the others but thats what makes them bullet-proof. Roll a Honda 12 time and it'll land on its feet running. (the beads will be blown off the tires tho! ).

If ya change the oil every 3-4 years, and a new plug every 7-8 years, a Honda will keep going strong!!! Thats not a knock on the others. Honda just has different engineering standards. They feel that if ya want to go fast... get a 450R. If ya wanna work....get a Rubicon.

If Honda was worried about their power image they would have put a Rubicon tranny in the Rincon.

I feel that Honda is at one end of the spectrum and Polaris is at the other end and every other machine falls in between.

Honda, not perfect in anything but proficient in everything. Sacrifice nothing to bring the highest dependability.
Polaris, Fantastic ride and performance. But sacrifice dependability to get it.
