Default Dealers what is up with them?

Hondas don't break. I guess I was seeing things in the service dept at a Honda shop full of busted Hondas. They all break, period. Most from neglect. It cost a friend of mine that rides a Rincon $1200 for three sensors that went out after he drove thru some mud, and he is great with his maintence.

I agree Honda doesnt have some of the performance of the others but thats what makes them bullet-proof. Roll a Honda 12 time and it'll land on its feet running. (the beads will be blown off the tires tho! ).

If ya change the oil every 3-4 years, and a new plug every 7-8 years, a Honda will keep going strong!!! Thats not a knock on the others. Honda just has different engineering standards. They feel that if ya want to go fast... get a 450R. If ya wanna work....get a Rubicon.

If Honda was worried about their power image they would have put a Rubicon tranny in the Rincon.

I feel that Honda is at one end of the spectrum and Polaris is at the other end and every other machine falls in between.

Honda, not perfect in anything but proficient in everything. Sacrifice nothing to bring the highest dependability.
Polaris, Fantastic ride and performance. But sacrifice dependability to get it.

I don't think in my view that Polaris Quads lack any Dependability issues.............
People that had Polaris quads ...More than likely will buy another
People keep buying Polaris quads.
I know people that have older Polaris's and are very happy with them(that was part of my decision to buy)
Most ALL brands now are Dependable engine wise anyway.......
Polaris has a very good chunk of the market right now ...Don't they????? ..YES.......
.........Caper...........

Then he was a fool.
I could replace every sensor on mine for a couple hundred.

Default Dealers what is up with them?

I liked my dealer where I bought my 04sp600 that two yrs later I went to work for them selling Polaris ATVs and JohnDeere equipment.
If/when I leave them I will still buy from them.
As a salesman I have alot of competition from other Polaris and John Deere dealers in the form of Price. I get beat almost daily on price, and then I'll see those folks back in here complaning that the other dealer didn't know what they were talking about nor had anybody competent enough to work on their machine.

Everyone wants a nice friendly passionate dealer, but no one wants to pay what they are asking. Remember, your not just buying an ATV, your buying an experience. I'll work with someone alot more if they talk with me and I get to know them, but if they call on the phone and I don't know them and they want my best price or come and the first words are I want your best price, I have no time for them. To me where I spend money is more important then how much I spend.
I am not saying bend over and take it, just think about that when you spend an hr or two with someone and then bitch at the price. I can't afford alot of toys or even to spend alot, but My time is just as important to me as Money. I don't have time to drive all over town (or the money to spend on gas) or 1-2 hrs to the next dealer to save "some" money that I most likely will spend in gas and time. I understand if your local dealers Suck and that is truly a pita, but if you find a good one TELL THEM, and remind them time and time again. My boss will get on me from time to time when I loose a sale due to price but will give me high praise when customers come in and personaly go into his office and tell him about their experience.

there is my rant.
and we have ktms.
