Personally I don't wear a helmet when I ride my quad, unless its raining very hard. Then I wear a full face street bike helmet. To stay warm when riding my street bike, I use a full face street helmet with a snow ski chin/throat sock under that. Only bad thing is you have to leave your sheild cracked alittle so you don't fog up too much.

I wear a HJC full face helmet with electric visor, never cold, and in the spring and fall, peel off the electic visor and wear goggles.

I also wear the HJC Motocross helmet. In the winter (-30C) I would add full balaclava which covers the whole head. It is a tight fit with the helmet on, but the warth benefits are great.

The Balaclava extended down the neck on to the shoulder. Then I also wear a scarf and on top of all that is the goggles and breath delector. Without goggles your eyes freeze shut...

Thank God for insulated Arctic Coveralls!

I'm not exactly sure what kind of helmet it is but I got it at the Sportsmans Guide in South St. Paul, MN. It is a full face helmet with face shield. I used the No Fog stuff that comes with the Rain X bottle. But don't know if it stops the fogging up of the face mask as I haven't been able to use it yet. It was only $40. I also went to a Polaris dealer and got the air deflector ($5) that fits over your nose and mouth and velcro'd it into the helmet. I'll let you know how it works. In theory, it should work just fine. But reality may prove me wrong. I also wear a balaclava and this what looks like a fleece turtle neck without the shirt part of it.

Use a HJC motorcross helmet. To keep warm I use a neoprene wrap that covers the nose & chin area.

I use a Yamaha Wedge full face for winter riding and snowmobiling. You don't need an electric shield either. I've never had mine fog or ice. They cost is about $160, but are well worth it. I've had full face HJC helmets and they fog and ice up or you need to add an electric shield, which is about $75. Not sure about the HJC open face.

I also wear a HJC helmet in the summer but I am an avid snowmobiler and do lots of deep powder riding. Our biggest problem in the mountains is fogging up but I think I finally found the solution. I just bought a modular BLIZZARD helmet made by Lazer. It has a built in mask that deflects your breath down and works great. It kinda looks like a fighter pilot helmet. It would probably not be your best street bike helmet but it is the best snowmobile helmet I have ever had. A bit expensive maybe,250.00 but if it keeps you from fogging up so you can keep riding it's worth it. You can look at it:www.lazerhelmets.com
