polaris outlaw
hey hows it going? im just curious to hear from other outlaw owners. My 06 500 has proven to be very unreliable. It has maybe 20 hours on it and ive had it in the shop 3 times so far for various things. The first time was when the rear sprocket came loose on me and tossed the chain off which gouged the case and bottom a-arm. The dealership must had done about $2000 worth of work as I got a paper with a list about 2 pages long of parts they had to replace from that incident. then after I brought it home from the dealership, it quit and wouldnt start, so back it went. come to find out the flywheel key broke. Now that could be an error on their part, but other that overtourqing the flywheel, I cant see why it would have happened because of human error. my next problem was about a month ago, my choke cable broke so back to the dealership again. If you own an outlaw you know how much of a pain in the a$$ the choke is when you let it sit for any length of time. My friend also has an outlaw and 2 weeks ago his front wheel bearings blew out and he had to ride it back to the road so im sure that ruined his hub and spindle. His machine doesnt have any more hours than mine and both of ours really arent beat on, thats what our YFZ's are for. Other than the IRS, im really very dissapointed in this machine out of the 7 wheelers ive owned in my life(all yamahas) this has been the worst. I expected alot more from an American machine
