to all my forum freinds, i thank you for the compliments that you have given and i always tell people that i speak very highly pf this forum for the people (to me) are unmatched in their kindness. i honestly try to think of all us riders as a brotherhood of good willed people having a good time and turning thier knowledge into help for others. in years past ive had to pay for info.like i paid someone $10.00 once for a piece of info this person knew i needed. so kudos to you all for sharing your wealth of knowledge. i'm truely unworthy of your praise but i thankyou. steve

Good job on the troubleshooting! This is the BEST forum i've seen by far, people here are helpful and very patient. Most other sites (especially toyota site) are a bunch of arrogant know it alls who flame newbies for no reason. You must of about fell over when the jet fell out of the drain plug! Classic!

Kind of a similar situation...
Had to add to this topic of bs artists. I take my truck to the local lube place because I'm too fricken lazy to do it myselt. Last time I was 1000 miles over (3000 total) and the con artist behind the wrench suggested completing a oil system flush and replacing the oil with synthetic to cut the "sludge" built up in that 1000 miles...JFC. These stupid people have no idea what they're selling and what the hell their doing.
The guy wouldn't take no for answer and finally i asked him what is "synthetic" oil, how was it different, etc. No fricken clue. I tried to lead him by saying is synthetic a man made product or was it a highly purified crude oil? He wasn't sure but still he knew I needed it to remove the sludge. I'm going to run 4000 next time just to see what they say.
dumb, dumb, dumb...fricken dumb!

Best advise Buy a manual, read it, ask a bunch of questions then more question. When you screw it up accept the loss and lean from it, then buy another part and fix it. I have leaned alot just from a book. The principals are not hard to apply. Hats off to stendori for helping someone, hopefully it was a leaning experience for both. This seems like a great place to learn. Glad I'm here.... Bull

We know your humble, a good thing..
True story (I think?)
A humble man was recognized by
his local church as the "The Most
Humble Man" and awared a pin
in his honor. At the next church
service, he wore the pin on the lapel
of his Suit jacket. Well the church had
to take the pin back.
