That is really great, what you did for the kid! Did you check on the status of his jackshaft and driveshaft bearings while you were over there? I would hate to have his chaincase trashed after all the work you put into it. Of course, it would probably make it until spring when he could go through it completely. Hopefully he will get a manual and read up on his sled so he can do more of his own work. I can't believe the status of those carbs, talk about an incompetent service job prior to your arrival!

jvanhare, yea i pulled off the bearing cover and did the wiggle test to make sure the bearing wasnt shot. i was suprised it wasnt since the speedo didnt work but the 3" insert cable was broke.

man you should have chaged him at least a 100.00 bucks.........just kidding its one of my favorite things about this hobby> Sharing what ive learned! sometimes the hard way just so others dont get burned or make the same mistake good job sten

That was a he!! of a thing to do, helping him out. Way to go Stendori. Helpful, knowledgeable people like Stendori make/keep things informative and friendly, saving a lot of us time and $. Thanks again. Amazing what some dealers/people will do to make a buck hugh?

If you can read ..and im assuming you can since your reading this.........Buy a service/repair manual for your bike its the best money youll ever spend.Just follow directions ,and take your time and you can get the same if not better results than the ^%$hole charging you BIG BUCKS...........Trust me if i can do it ,so can you....Im no mechanic.
