hi everyone
i am having an intermittent problem with my 4 wheel drive
When i need it , it wont work
the light on the switch (awd) does not light up and i have no 4 wheel drive
sometimes it works in reverse when i push over ride button , but most times if no light , no awd
i have checked the electrical connections where they enter the engine on the right hand side, last time i put wd40 on connections and bike stayed stuck in awd!!unpluged connection , plugged back in and everything was fine
i have read the horror stories about the plastic cage , i too have had the bike pull to one side for no reason , put bike in reverse, backed up and everything was ok, so dont know if it was the diff acting up or not.
Could it be something as simple as adjusting the linkage from gear handle, noticed sometimes if i mess with gearchange it works ok and light comes on again.Any advice appreciated , like i said is intermittent problem so dont know whats gong on.Where are the fuses located?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

 

Could be the switch, or the wires are pulling out of the housing that are connected to the switch. Or the linkage is worn out inside.
