Fuel-Air adjustment screw?
#1
Could someone contrast and compare adjusting the fuel air screw with re-jetting the carb? Do you really have to remove the carb and do some drilling like in the dyna-jet instructions to adust it?

If you add performance mods or change to a different elevation you may need to rejet. You need to do plug checks to see if you need to rejet. If your lean or rich on idle you then need to adjust the fuel screw in or out.

I am not rich on idle.... no smell... how do you tell lean on idle? Having finished up monkeying with the intake stuff I now need to choke it to start it and leave it on for 6-10 minutes of riding before it is stable.

lean is a condtion of lack of gas and too much air which in turn makes it run hotter. not a good thing if too hot. sometimes a lean cond. will caus back firing and check the plugs and they will run white instead of golden brown.
