Default Polaris Sportsman 450 WEork lights

I recently picked up an 07 Sp 450. I see that there is work light wiring but no switch. How do I know which harness to use? Can I just buy a switch at radio shack? Is the harness already hot? What kind of bulbs do I use? Thanks in advance for thje help.

i am "guessing" that polaris uses the same wiring harness for the a non back up light as for a working system. so if you can pull the pod off and find where the plug goes to the switch maybe by finding a wirng diagram you would be all set. polaris part no# 4011065 for the work light bulb.

You got the ?standard model? 450. All you need to make the work lights functional are the bulbs and switch. Polaris sells a kit (PN 2876090) that has both but I don?t know the cost. The wiring is already there at the rear lenses and inside the pod. Install the bulbs, cut a hole and install the switch.

Hey Thanks for the info. I'll poke around inside the pod and see what I can find. Right now it's not a neccessity but at some point I'd like to use them. BTW went for a smokin' 32 mile snow trek along the power lines in Dutchess county NY today. 20 degrees but absolutely gorgeous out. I like mid life.
