Aargh!! I hate this darn Maine weather!!

Yesterday(saturday) I was out enjoying about 6 inches of snow in the upper 20's, having a grand old time, staying clean, rippin' up the neighbors fields(with permission, of course), thinking "Man, I can't wait till it really snows", and in the full three hours of non-stop riding, that's all I dreamt about, was another few inches of snow. Right now at 10:30pm, its almost 60 degrees, pouring down rain, and not a flake of snow left anywhere!!Aargh!! I guess some storm from down south found its way up here to ruin my good time. Does anyone else get ticked off when this happens? I can just about imagine what all the snowsledders are thinkin' right about now. Just another reason why I'm glad I own a quad. At least tomorrow I can look forward to some deep-a$$ mudholes. Maybe I should be celebrating instead!!

I hear you on that crappy rain. We finally got some good snow for rabbit hunting and it rained all day Saturday. I had a whole day of hunting planned and couldn't go because it was raining. Oh well, ended up going to Cabelas for the day anyway. We still had some snow left and got another 2 inches yesterday. Now the original snow is crusty hard and the atv won't even go through it. This has kinda ruined the atv riding for a while.

Wish I coulda traded weather with ya. Here it was -10 with a 40 MPH wind gusting to 60. Had a wind chill of -45 at noon Saturday. Sunday wasn't too bad, but here it is, 5 degrees out with a 35 MPH wind again.
I have only one word for people who want to ride when there is a -45 wind chill - PSYCHO !!
Sure hope it gets better. I don't even feel like starting up the beast in weather like this.

We had some good snow, then rained Saturday. Sunday it got colder again, and snowed a little. I went out to play in the snow, and there was mud underneath! Either mud or snow is great, but I hate having both!

Farmr123,
I remember my sophmore year in high school back in northern Wisconsin. School was canceled for three days in a row due to a windchill of 75 degree below 0. Wanna know what we did? Went snowmobiling. We just had to take advantage of the no school days somehow, right?

Snow riding is a blast.
This past weekend was the first time we went up to the mountains to ride in snow. It was really fun to blast through the virgin snow. We don't get much snow in the valley but the mountains do. The wife now wants to go riding this Christmas break in the snow.
