I just put a bearing on my left rear it was a sealed bearing I got it off ebay for about $38 with shipping I seen since 2 for $25 to $30 I dont know if the factory bearing was sealed or not because it came out in parts the inner race was on the hub, the outer race had to be driven out of the carrier and the ***** fell out on the floor I wouldnt want and open bearing on these and I dont recall anyplace on the hub or carrier to install a seal mine is a 03 700 sportsman takes the same bearing as the 500

 

i could be wrong, but i think all the sportsmans take that rear bearing dont they. at least the newer ones. i had to do the same thing to mine w/ the race on and in. it sucked lol.
