Default 2003 sportsman 90

JUST FOUND THIS FORUM ... MAYBE SOME OF YOU GUYS CAN HELP ME. I HAVE A SHOP OF MY OWN, BUT I AM HAVING SOME TROUBLE FINDING SOMETHING. I HAVE GOT A 2003 SPORTSMAN 90 I AM WORKING ON FOR A FRIEND. IT HAS NO FIRE, WILL NOT TURN OVER USING THE STARTER BUTTON. DOES ANYONE HAVE A WIRING DIAGRAM???THAT THEY EMAIL ME? THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP

only thing i can suggest is to look at the parts break down of it on the polaris web site. it shows all the elec. components but i didnt see a wire diagram. sorry.

now when u go to use the electric start does it just click and do nothin if so the starter is probley gone bad just a thought

you said this has no fire(spark) when you try to turn it over or is the starter not even trying to turn over the engine. if theres no fire then maybe the kill switch(assuming it has one) is defective blocking power thru to the system.

Just to make sure, you are pulling the brake handle in. My 50 Scrambler will not start without applying the brake, not sure if the 90 is like or not. It will not turn over without the brake applied. If you take the hand brake off, there will be a little button switch that has to be depressed to make it start. You can see if the switch is working, the brake light will come on if the switch is working. Go to polaris website and look at the "Parts Manual" and it should show the switch.

I don't know if this will work.

good info gould62,i didnt realize until i just looked that they had a safety switch. 0451090 Harness, Sensor Switch i guess better check that b4 going any further.
