Switching clutches

Default Switching clutches

Does anyone know if a 2005 drive clutch off a sp 500ho fit on my 2000 sp 500 without hitting the clutch cover or effecting my drive clutch. Thanks

Default Switching clutches

It will fit as long as yours is EBS.If yours isnt you will need a secondary clutch too.

arent they balanced if so would the ballance be the same ftwflh??

each clutch is balanced to itself not to a motor.

right. the cover is balanced to the cover by drilling out holes(not all the way thru) to shim the weight to balance it. if the cover doesnt belong to that clutch(like trailblazermud) then it can be out of balnce to the clutch as well as the chuncks taken off the spider towers.

Will the clutch or belt hit the cover?

i just looked up a drive clutch for a 00' and 05' sp. 500 and they are the same part number.
