X2 springs/shocks are ordered

Got them coming. Complete rear set(springs, shocks, cam adjusters,etc...) $300. This will add a 3" lift to a stock rear MV setup. Plus with the tires, I have an addition 1.5" GC. I will be looking at a 4.5" GC lifted MV. I will have the 3" lift in the rear and a 2" in the front. If I need to level it out, I'll have my buddy machine a 1" taller front spring cradle. Riding season is approching fast, I need to get my 800 header coated and installed, I am thinking about a jet kit too!

It was, but Gorilla said not to worry about the heat. They are tighter and will run hot until they wear in. I figure, I paid good money for them, I might as well utilize the warranty! The 6" lift CV boots are sometimes blowing up like a balloon. They know about the heat issue. I was told to try and heat cycle them with creek beds!

Got them in and installed them today. They are not a direct BOLT-N-GO, minor modifications had to be made to the lower shock mount. Some grinding was needed, for shock body to control arm clearance. This only took about 15 mins to do.Here is a pic. Notice the shiney area above the left hole. This is ground down to give shock to control arm clearance. Also the right top of the mount area was needed to be bent out slightly for the same reason. This grinding did not jepardize any strength at all. These shocks are 7/8ths" longer which provides 1 3/4" lift. Also the springs are much shorter and the cam adjuster is located much higher up on the body. Total cost about $320!
