B-ret,

You will need to get an 18 inch tire in order to get a good tire. You will need new rims for these tires. Are you looking for rear tires only or front & rear. You probably only need rear tires. The stock tires that come on kids quads are not very good.

We had a problems with the tires filling up with mud in between the knobbies before going to a better & bigger tire on our E-ton.

In an 18 tire you can get shredders, fast trakkers, hole shots just to name afew.

Gauge will lose some speed by going with a bigger tire, but the bigger tire, which will also be wider than stock, will make the quad more stable when rideing.

I'm no tire expert, but wouldn't a larger tire actually increase speed but reduce torque?

You would usually gain speed by going to a bigger tire, but in the case of kids quads the extra speed (increased tire size) is off set by the additional weight of the tires. One these kids quads not only do you go larger diameter but they are also wider.

The speed loss should not be a lot, but there will be some.

Here is what ya need(this is all in my mind, forgive me but I am a mud rider and often daydream when I have nothing to do). Trade that SC50 in for a Sp90, lift it, put bigger tires on it(mud tires), run spacers, snorkel it, run a straight pipe lol, Bore it out, put in a low end cam and convert to a 4wd. Just a few things to name, but you have to admitt that would be pretty cool if it were possible.
