As far as quantity of fluid you put in, Just fill it until it starts coming back out the fill plug. the plug you use should be about halfway up the tranny casing more or less.

Thank you for your advice. Sleeping over it, I am actually going to check the Spark Plugs first thing this morning...hopefully that's it.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I actually opened the fill plug last night and a little bit of oil came out- so I let that flow out and closed the fill plug again because I was afraid I may have overfilled it a little.

Sounds like you just may have a coincidence. Go through with your plan, plugs, wire, etc...

I'm not to familiar with that Atv but is it possible that the wires for the neutral/reverse switch might be loose causing a problem????

Just a thought

Andy,

The problem your having has nothing to do with your tranny oil change. If it was fine before you changed the oil, you need to go back & try to remember all the steps you took to change the oil -- I.E: did you reach across a wire to add oil inadvertently breaking or unplugging it, or did you remove a side cover that may have snagged a wire near the coil, etc, etc.

Another possibility is that you parked it wet overnight & some moisture got into the plug wires or coil wiring, then froze by morning.

Bottom line is to re-check your work first, then go from there. Easy things first, then make your way to fuel problems etc.

if this was running correctly b4 you changed the fluid then maybe you unplugged some wires by mistake. if its doing the same stutter as it does when in reverse w/out pushing the override then its hitting the rev limiter. generally speaking only the belt/clutches would make it slip enough to bounce it off the limiter.

First of all, I would like to thank all of you guys for your quick help! I really appreciate it, guys, this forum rocks.
As you suggested, I did go back and re-check everything I touched- well I also touched the air filter, and looks like when I put it back in the last time, it wasn't put in completely right and the engine did not get enough air...after fixing this problem it now runs better than before. I know I am probably sounding really, really dumb, but I learned a lot.
Thanks again guys!
Andy
