water pump test

Default water pump test
How do you test your water pump to see if its working? any simple ways?

hey fellow mainer, the only thing i could think of is to pull off the hose(top) that flows the coolant to the rad. and start it up and see if it pushes water out. messy though.

i was thinking about something like that, just have to keep a bucket and extra coolant available.
dont mind getting messy!
