Breakdown !

Well my goodness it sounds like to me he better fix it and then trade it off for a new HO 500 before something else breaks down on it. Put the spring on and load it up in the ol pickup and haul it off, but drain the gas out first !!! You wouldn't want to give the dealer a tank of your gas and make sure they fill the new one up before you leave. Then he will have a machine that will outrun that high mileage thing you are riding ! Maybe you should both go and trade um off at the same time, they might give a better deal on the pair but get two yellow ones so if they break down you can just blame it on them being lemons because of the color.

I'm concerned now! Does Rick Ritter or someone make an aftermarket parking brake holder. Maybe stainless or titanium or with a built in thumb heater. This sounds like something that Polaris engineers need to go back to the drawing board with. LOL
Remember: If you replace a broken part with an aftermarket part its an UPGRADE not a breakdown.
Thanks for the laugh farmer!!

farmr123,
you want a predominantly american made atv without the polaris name, get an arctic cat.
since polaris is the north star, arctic cat can truly be called a STAR DESTROYER.
and as for the foreign makes, you gotta have something to fill in the really deep mud holes.
just thought i'd poke some fun,

I scraped some paint off the bottom of my frame playing on rocks. Now if it were something else, the paint would have stayed on the frame were it belonged. So tommorrow I'm trading it for a new quad with better paint-to-frame-retention. This is so uncalled for. Hienousity!!!!
Oh, and how 'bout them cheap polaris stickers that tend to get the letters scratched off by branches? I bet the honda or yamaha warning labels are much more reliable. As long as the rivets hold to the plastic, that is.........

!!FAST BREAKING BULLETIN!!
Polaris is aware of the design deficiency and has redesigned the brake holding mechanism for 2001. They must’ve heard the tales of terror and cries of righteous indignation about the failure of their product and responded. Whew, and not a minute too soon. That was close!
