Well...went out today and now my override works?? After my thorough power washing water must have messed with something, tech said it happens from time to time after washing and letting the machine dry out will usually resolve it??

SO all is fine (bike is working perfectly)and I decide to go through with the mod anyway. So...I simply disconnected the black wire, it overrode in 2wd, great!! . I then tried AWD...in AWD I still needed to push the button to engage the front wheels otherwise it would just stay in 2wd. So... disconnecting the black wire really did me no good as I still had to push the button to acheive AWD in reverse.

Thanks Bill, my wire may be brown or grey with white, the colors are close. I'll call it a Brownish grey color... Your link and directions sound like they match my bike so...HERE GOES...
