rear sprocket change 13/34 to stock 13/36
hey i have a 99 scrambler 400 4x4 i bought this four-wheeler from somebody and they had the 13/34 gears and it was too laggy so i wanted more low end torque i have a fmf-turbine core 2 spark arrestor on it.....so i just ordered the 13/36 sprockets and a dalton black w/ orange stripe primary spring will this give me better take off and wheelie ability? also i was wondering will the spring make me loose power? rick told me to get this and gave me a belt along with this i just didnt want the engagment much higher just getting info thanks

actually i was just talking about this topic with some other polaris people, if you change the rear gearing it will most definitly mess up the 4x4, i dunno what it will do.
another way to change your gearing would be to buy taller tires all round. or make the bike Rev higher, i would NOT take off the clutch spring if it allows the clutch to engage at higher RPMs it will help take offs and improve wheelieing, it helps your take off because your more into your power band when you take off
