I agree with brutas .......keep going back w/it till they freak'n beg you to leave em alone.......cross your eyes when you look at them, let a little drool hang from your mouth and walk in there jerking your head to one side.Even if they dont take it back .........think of the fun it would be...........seriously....I hope it all works out.I hate what some of these dealers get away with!

I have a new 06 hawkeye also.Had a few carb issues at first also.make sure etc is set, idle is set good(behind side panel),and gas is fresh.also there is an airbox mod that will help.once this is all good(don't forget your spark plug)get used to your choke when warming up and starting, having your idle turned up a bit will make this work smoother and you should be good.
ps your dealer should know this.

Wow, I might need to send my dealer a thank you card. They did all updates before I took delivery and it runs great since then. There are some carb updates and make sure they don't just drill so holes in the airbox. Also, does yours knock or rattle. Mine has a bearing rattle sometimes in the clutch area. I am just waiting till my warranty about runs out before I take it back incase anything else happens.

Get a large piece of poster board, write on it something to the effect, "BEWARE, THIS DEALER DOES NOT STAND BEHIND HIS PRODUCTS" and picket him for a few hours on a Saturday. Be sure to stay out by the road in the right of way and he can't do anything. You might see a change in attitude.

the knocking sound your hearing is coming from the clutch it worried me at first but its normal on this quad also there are alot of updates to the quad that need to be done by your dealer
mine had a new air box put in a new clutch and alot of stuff in the carb now the start is not so low it actually gets up to speed good while still having low end power and its easyer to start. if you want i can pm you my dealers # and he will get you all the service bullitin numbers.

Hello All,
I really appreciate your help with my Hawkeye. The dealer straightened up a bit and gave us an extra year on my warranty. I have to say that our sales guy Jason at SSpowersports in southern IN was awesome. After I pissed off the manager I felt we were going to get nothing except warranty service. Jason got us the extra year warranty at no cost to me. The service guy, Adam fixed the throttle, made sure the updates were installed, and explained the knocking noise. THe throttle had a loose bolt, so it wouldn't hold, therefore wouldn't start easily. Anyone in the Louisville, southern IN have a small trailer for sale??
