Todays forecast:
There is a winter weather advisory in the northern part of the state. Forecasters warned of heavy snow in parts of northern Pennsylvania, especially over mountains north and east of Williamsport, beginning after midnight. Accumulations of up to 8 inches were predicted, with the heaviest snowfall expected over ridge-tops of Sullivan and Tioga counties.
Out west, even Pittsburgh could get an inch or two of snow, although the city only saw light rain most of Sunday.
By afternoon, light snow was already falling in Erie and other northern counties that border New York State, including Bradford and Warren. Those areas might see as much as six inches of powder.
But for the most part, the state was seeing rain.
The weather is part of a system that moved eastward out of the Plains, leaving snow, heavy rains and violent thunderstorms in its path.
The rain forced the cancellation of the Pittsburgh Pirates home game against San Francisco ? the first time since PNC Park opened in 2001 that the Pirates had to call off consecutive home games due to weather. The game between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Houston Astros also was rained out.

You have that right. Just a week ago here in SoCal I was accosted on a street corner by some moron that wanted me to donate to his cause - the environment. Of course he would take cash (yeah....right) but also I could make monthly donations. This clown claimed he donates a whole $12 a month which clearly is only a very small percent of what he spends on getting stoned every week. He was not pleased with our little "discussion".
QUOTE FOR TODAY:
There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals. When there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Unknown.

We got about 4-5" of rain last night and high winds all night into the morning. It's a bit of a mess. Could be lots worse. Lost power for about 6.5 hours or so. I like the x2. Threw the generator in the box, couple extension cords, gas, and rode it ove to the bulkhead. Finally got the generator going and plugged in the sump pump (live at the bottom of a hill. Next house will be top) and the fridge. Power is finally back on. Still better than losing power for days because of ice storms.
DeeDawg, I always like to have fun with guys like that too. My favorite method is pointing out the ubsurdity of some of these "causes" by being ubsurd. It frustrates them when they hear how they really sound.

Yes, he was frustrated when I was done. Some passersby's were rather amused, though.
