I am going to get a new winch and just wanted to know what would be best to get? I have a 2006 Polaris 500efi. I would appreciate any help

 

nothing less than a WARN. you ever try pushing a heavy*** sportsman out of a mudhole ,i have and i bought my warn the next day...

 

you'll get alot of diffemrt answers form everone on this question, but im w/ savage on this one. to me their the best.

 

yea i still wish i would have bought the 3.0 like sten did... oh well the 2.5 just fine , but always buy bigger than what you THINK will need and you will never second guess!!!!!

 

If you can still get the WARN in the Polaris box.........I would go that way!!!!
Everything is ready on your quad to just hook it up!!!....Pre-wired for it!!!!!
I did mine it was very easy!!!!!!!!!My wife's 2.5 Warn is still in the box!!!!!
No........I am keeping it......She is going to let me put it on someday...LOL...LOL....Caper.......

 

Buy a 3.0 and don't look back. I've had my Scrammy stuck and 2, 2.5s wouldn't touch it and 1, 3.0 pulled me out without a problem!! And that is why I bought a 3.0!!!!!

 

remember I won a Polaris winch on EBAY (the wrinkle finish one)? I got F'D..............he never sent it .............son of a !@^$#@! He wont return emails from me, EBAY or PAYPAL and he had 100% feedback. WTF

Now I have to wait for PAYPAL to refund my 200 bucks. and now I have to find a new one. After much research and reading, I am going to look for a WARN

Thanks to all for info with this subject. Maybe he f'n boned me for a reason, now I can get a WARN. I doubt I will ever do ebay again. everytime I try and buy soemthing on ebay I get screwed.

i got screwed a couple times on ebay as well and had to get paypal to get my money back which they did. most of them have been good though. your bike is all prewired fr the warn kit and is a snap to put on if you dontmind spending the extra dough.ebay winch this would be a good deal if you could win this auction as its a prewired modle i do beleave. just a thought. maybe check out bresselawn as well. sometimes hes cheaper as well.

 

Thanks Sten - I am probably gonna stay away from Ebay though. I havent quite decided but, I just dont like the fact it so easy to get screwed. I may buy small ticket items but bit this much $ anymore. Too many people out to scam. It's worth it to me at this point to pay even more and know you gonna get it. (and bring it back of you have a problem)
